Call for Funders: Support the What Works Climate Solutions Summit 2026

We invite visionary funders and sponsors to support the What Works Climate Solutions Summit 2026, a flagship event dedicated to advancing evidence-based climate solutions. Building on the success of the inaugural summit in Berlin in June 2024, which convened over 300 researchers, climate experts and decision-makers, we aim to elevate the 2026 summit to a new level.

Our goal is to foster collaboration, drive actionable insights, and broaden participation—particularly from low- and middle-income countries.

Why Support the Summit?

The climate crisis demands urgent, science-based action. This summit offers a unique platform for rigorous evidence synthesis to advance IPCC assessments, inform international climate change negotiations, and drive the implementation of effective climate solutions. By supporting the summit, you will:

  • Amplify global climate action: Your contribution will facilitate the gathering of researchers, policymakers, practitioners, and funders from across the globe to share evidence on what works in tackling climate change.
  • Promote inclusivity: By focusing on increasing participation from underrepresented regions, your funding will ensure diverse voices and perspectives are integral to the dialogue.
  • Strengthen capacity building: Equip the next generation of climate researchers and policymakers with the essential skills through dedicated training, workshops and satellite events.
  • Elevate your organization’s profile: As a sponsor, you’ll be recognized as a key player in advancing the evidence base for effective and equitable climate solutions.

How You Can Contribute?

We’re seeking funders to support the summit through:

  • Core funding: Contributions towards overall event organization, including venue costs, logistics, and speaker travel.
  • Travel grants: Financial support for participants from low- and middle-income countries to ensure broad global participation and representation.
  • Satellite events: Funding for pre- and post-summit events and activities, such as capacity-building workshops or regional-specific discussions that, in turn, help amplify the main summit.
  • In-kind contributions: Support through services, such as media partnerships, event management, or technology platforms.
